We are just over a month away from the Summit Europe 2020 conferences in Barcelona, Spain. As always there is a wide variety of amazing sessions, presentations, and networking to be had. I have a number of sessions across both the extreme365 and Summit conferences surrounding security, audit, and compliance that you shouldn’t miss!
This session is a part of the extreme365 conference that coincides with the Summit.
It’s easy to focus time and resources in application security inside Dynamics, but a sound security platform addresses security at all levels. In this session you will learn about security features and functionality that exists within Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure, along with tools that Microsoft provides to assist you in offering more security related services to your clients. We will provide guidance on how best to balance the needs for strong internal and external security controls for your clients, through approaches and methodologies that are actually quite similar to successful methodologies used to manage ERP implementation and upgrade projects, which of course VARs already are good at providing to their clients.
Microsoft has now multiple applications on the same platform and has started splitting the applications by means of licensing. Join this session to learn about the licensing impact when you design new security roles or when you change existing roles.
It’s easy to focus time and resources in application security inside Dynamics, but a sound security platform addresses security all levels or rings. Protection from threats on the outside, inside your network, and inside your application, all must be controlled. In this session, we will review controls in each of those rings and tools Microsoft provides to assist with this critical exercise. We will provide guidance on how best to balance the needs for strong internal and external security controls, through approaches and methodologies that are actually quite similar to successful methodologies used to manage ERP implementation and upgrade projects.
In this session, we will review the most common security related mistakes companies make when upgrading or implementing Dynamics. From who owns security, to who should implement it, and everything in between, we will provide proven project approaches that can keep your company off the security gotcha list. At the conclusion of this session, participants will have a better understanding on how to sell internally the need to address security proactively, before the presented gotchas become problems that have serious impact on you, your company, or both.
