Since Dynamics User Group Summit 2016 in Tampa is over I figured it was as good as time as any to get into the new stuff Microsoft announced this last week.

We got another rebranding of what initially was called AX7, then Microsoft Dynamics for Enterprise, and finally now Dynamics 365 for Operations. I will try to refrain from using the old AX7 branding but I will admit that it is much easier to say than Dynamics 365 for Operations. Overall the look and feel is exactly what all the RTW and CTP releases have looked like but a lot of the changes have been adding new modules or fixing things under the hood.

Since I deal with AX security on a daily basis I plan on writing blog posts as I come across things that are either brand new to Dynamics 365 for Operations (or D365FO for short, seriously this is the acronym they used) or are different than AX 2012.
