The Fastpath team has released the Spring 2020 version of our Security and Audit Field Manual series for D365FO. The technical aspects of the book include features and functionality that I have found in the last year surrounding the security, audit, and compliance features within D365FO. I would like to thank Mark Polino, Trish Boccuti, Heather Robinson, and the rest of the Fastpath team with their help in getting this book published.
A quick overview of the book itself:
For many companies, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365) is the core of their financial management system, and protecting against fraud, misstatements, and errors is a critical component of running Dynamics 365. Sometimes though, it’s hard to know where to start. This is a book about Dynamics 365 security written to help users, administrators, and auditors better understand how to plan, implement, and audit D365 security for their financial operations. Security books tend to be heavy on theory or application, rarely including both. This Security and Auditing Field Manual is designed to help users understand sound control principles and how to apply them in Dynamics 365.
Hi Alex, I purchased your prior 2018 version early in 2020 and was wondering if I need to purchase the new release to get any updates added since 2018?
Ron,
I appreciate you purchasing the Security Audit Field Manual! For each version of the book I go through and add in the changes to D365FO that have occurred since the last book was released. If you would like the most up to date features and functionalities to be covered you will need to purchase the newer book.
Understood, thanks Alex!
